Do people who do not forgive and give someone who is seeking a last chance a final chance, feel at peace?

They couldn't feel at peace but for the time being anyway you can bet they feel powerful. Not to say I agree with that but I'm sure many feel that way and feel "in control." It feeds their ego to have someone beg for forgiveness...
