Why do some women insist on distracting others, especially men?

Not all women crave the attention that they get from displaying their bodies. Some women are just so insecure with who they are as human beings that they resort to seeking the attention of men with a public display. If they only knew how much it takes away from their character and how men only see them as objects maybe they would think again before they chose to receive negative affection.
