Peaches in Phase 1 of Atkins?
I just ate a small peach during the induction period of starting the Atkins diet. I've been really good about carb counts, and had read that it was good to eat certain fruit on the diet, but missed the part that it should be avoided in phase 1. What will this do? Will that one peach slow down the weight loss? I want to try and stay under 20 carbs per day, and that peach put around 10...but I'm just wondering if the fructose in it is going to trigger the insulin response? And if yes...do I just avoid fruit altogether?! Any help on the subject is great...thanks!
