Choosing a Digital Camera?

The A590IS is a great choice. Battery life shouldn't be an issue. The camera takes two AA size batteries. Don't use alkaline as they have a short life in cameras. The best choice would be rechargeable NiMH batteries. You can get packs of four and a charger pretty cheaply. Make sure the capacity of the batteries is at least 2000 mAhr. If you are not keen on using rechargeables you can use disposable lithium batteries. These are fairly expensive but do last well.
