Christmas day ideas? cloudy weather?

we have a family of three. four including the dog. we live in new zealand, its meant to be summer. but unfortuantly, its going to be CLODY!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE HECK!! anyways, what do people in the northern hemisphere do on christmas? we dont have snow though. its going to be cold and cloudy (new zealander cold that is :) but warm for northernhemisphere)
