Help recruiting Veronica in Fallout: New Vegas?

I'm trying to recruit Veronica but when I go to talk to her all she says is "Couldn't get enough of talking to me the first time huh?" and then the only option I have is to say "Goodbye". Currently, I'm liked by the Brotherhood of Steel. I haven't destroyed them. I don't have any companions with me. This is the first companion I'm trying to recruit so I'm certain there are no other companions following/waiting for me. How can I recruit Veronica?
